How do we know when it’s time to persevere or let something go and head in a new direction?
Part of it is about knowing who we are and being able to say no to certain commitments before taking them on… You need to ask yourself if you’re running away from a situation out of fear or if it’s really just not right for you.
If you know your decision isn’t based in fear, then you need to stand in your decision.
In the stories I share in this latest episode of Life Navigation and Design, I see how I had to do a lot of trial and error to find out what wasn’t right for me… but it also had a lot to do with the fact that I didn’t know who I was or what I *really* wanted.
I’m not saying that you won’t make mistakes and take on only the things you know are right for you, but knowing yourself, your values and desires can help you get where you want to go a lot faster than I did. I took the long road, for sure! Practice knowing what you need and being able to express it, even if you know someone will be disappointed. Know what’s important to you, where you want to put your energy and attention, be able to say no before you say yes to something that’s not right for you.
What's your experience or thoughts on decision making?
